Corpus Christi, Texas To The Huston Family, I was so
sadden to hear about Mrs. Houston passing. She was a
mentor to me in law enforcement and a friend. She served
on the National Police Week Committee with me and
anything I needed for Mrs. Huston to do, I always could
consider it done. She will be missed by so many of us in
law enforcement, however, her extraordinary and diligent
work will never be forgotten. God bless and keep you
forever in his arms of comfort.

Dear Jack, I just heard of Mattie's passing today. My heart aches for you and your family and for the whole Ruston community. Her life and commitment to you, the Kingdom of Jesus and His Church, this community' law enforcement, and as a role model for teens and young adults for so many years will be deeply missed. I loved Mattie like a sister. I can imagine the joy of her reunion with her mama.
