Dr. Lucy Jones McIntosh

Dr. Lucy Jones McIntosh, 91, a Retired Grambling State University Educator, of Grambling, Louisiana, passed on Sunday January 13, 2012 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston. Open Visitation will be on Thursday January 17, 2013, from 1:00 P.M.– 5:30 P.M. at King's Funeral Home in Ruston. The family of Dr. McIntosh invites family & friends to a Twilight Service, which will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 5:30 P. M. – 7:30 P. M. in the B. E. King Memorial Chapel of King’s Funeral Home in Ruston. Homegoing Celebration Services will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 12 noon. at the New Rocky Valley Baptist Church in Grambling, Louisiana, with Reverend Julius Sumler, Officiating. The Committal and Burial Services will immediately follow in the Grambling Memorial Gardens of Grambling, Louisiana

Dr. Lucy was one of a kind; she was kind and gentle' ever ready to assist in her students learning; never judgmental and always practical in her approach in dealing with everyday problems. I was a student in her anthropology class in the late 60's and enjoyed every class session. I kept in contact with her on a regular basis, but was shocked to hear of her passing. May God bless her family!
