Mrs. Barnes was so kind and so loving. I have so
many fond memories. She was so much more than my
eighth grade teacher, more than a family friend,
more than an excellent cook (her pound cake was
simply divine), and more than a fashionista. Mrs.
Barnes was there for my family during my Father's
illness and death. I am so grateful to have had Mrs.
Barnes in my life. My condolences to the family. She
was truly a special and a remarkable woman.

I am definitely at a lost for words! What a
wonderful woman she was! There is no way that I will
ever forget her. She taught myself and others so
much as a teacher and a mother figure. I will love
her always for keeping me in line.

I was saddened to hear the news of the death of our
friend, Mrs. Barnes. She and I worked in the same
school system in Magnolia, and she taught a couple
of our children when they were in Junior High. She
was admired as an educator as well as a beautiful,
kind, and compassionate child of God. Our sincere
condolences to her family, church family, and many
friends.

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Ms. Barnes. I
hadn't seen her since I was in junior high school in
Magnolia, Arkansas, but I remember her fondly. As an
educator, she was one of the ones who had a profound
impact on my life. I've asked about her over the
years hoping that I would be able to see her again,
but my hope is now built on seeing her in Heaven. I
pray that her family's hearts and minds are
comforted during this difficult time.

Thank God for such a beautiful person as Mrs. Irish
Irene Mack Barnes, my former teacher, whom we all
loved so much. We will miss her dearly with her
laughter and cheerfulness. Our prayers are with the
family and know that he will never leave you now
forsake you. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and
strength an ever-present help in trouble.
