CONDOLENCES

I just asked someone about Dr. Williams today and they told me that he was no longer with us! I was floored! I had no idea.  I had the blessed privilege to be under his guidance and tutelage as one of his students. It is my sincere prayer that his legacy will live on. It is no doubt that God will see the family through because that's what He does! May you continue to put your trust in him!

Warmest regards,

Angela Griffith-Newkirk

To the Williams family my thoughts and prayers go out to you. Dr. Williams was a warm hearted man who always greated me with a warm fatherly smile. His style of announcing the World Famed Tiger Marching Band was very unique. He was one of GSU's great ones. May God continue to bless you.

Alicia,

As we offer condolences to the Williams Family, we believe your father lived the words of Thomas Dooley,"Dedicate some of your life to others. Your dedication will not be a sacrifice, it will be an exhilarating experience." May God give you strength during this time of bereavement.

It was indeed a great enhancement for my life while under the capable hands of Dr. Williams. It was he that prompted me to become involved in community theatre post GSU. I'm much appreciative for the impact he played on me and will forever remember his deeds. As a fellow Alpha, he was quite helpful in the mentoring process, thus instrumental in the carving of who I am today. Thanks, Doc! Rest awhile, Kind Sir.

Alicia, you are commended for the strength displayed in honor of your father. God Bless!

The GSU 100 stated it best..."the classiest Band Announcer." He not only exemplified class but a professional presentation that is so lacking in today's announcers who are too loud and too non-collegiate. Many thoughts and prayers to the Williams family. I as with all the GSU horses will miss him sorely and his brilliant voice.
