Oh what a beautiful flower and a precious jewel you have chosen. Uncle Toby I will truly miss you. It is so hard to accept that I will no longer see you pass the house blowing your horn and waving. I am so thankful to have such a meek and humble person as you in my life. You were such an awesome daddy and husband. I will miss you and that great big smile you always had on your face. Love you! Your brother Larence loves you and will miss you dearly.

The day you answered God's call

Left an empty space in my heart!

My world came crashing down

I couldn’t breathe…couldn’t talk…

I felt so numb, I couldn’t walk.

It is so hard to believe

That you are gone.

Once so strong;

Why did you have to leave?

Why did you have to go?

I guess God knew you had been

Successful in raising us, He needed

You to help supervise a new highway and New angels.

I thank God for the 46 years I had with You and for allowing you to my Daddy and our DAD!

Thinking of you brings tears to my eyes

If I only had five minutes the day you passed away, I would have had time to tell you all the things I always say.  But longer, not letting you go…. telling you you were the best dad, better than any man could be.

The last time that I talked to you

I wish I would have known.

I would have said I love you,

and kept you on the phone.

If I only had five minutes,

the morning you passed away,

I'd give you one last hug so tight and see your great big smile.

I'd tell you that I don't think I could live without you, not even for awhile.

I’d tell you that I'll miss you,

more than you'll ever know.

But you were gone so quickly,

Before you even knew it,

you were standing at heavens gate.

Now God has called upon you,

It's time to get your wings.

To leave this life behind you,

And enjoy all of heavens beautiful things.

I Love you Mr Jewel D. Thomas Sr

This is so hard, Through God we will all make it You should see the support we have daddy.

The warm smile that I would always see when LaRhonda and I came in town I will truly miss! I will always remember the wonderful times and places we were able to see as a family together. You were one of the most dedicated and dependable men I have ever known. When ever someone needed "Anything" you would always have time to stop and help. You are in a much better place now but I will miss you dearly! Dad, thank you for allowing me to share in many of your experiences!!! Rest in Peace.

"A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.  Ecclesiastes 7:1"

"I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.  John 8:51"

Visiting home will "never" be the same, but i'm thankful for what I learned from observing and watching my uncle.  I observed going to church growing up and he was singing in the choir.  I observed visiting church when home and he's there every Sunday.  I observed how he loved and cared for his wife.  I observed how he was so proud of his children in "everything" they did and accomplished.  I observed how he was a hard worker, enjoyed life, loved family and will miss his sense of humor!  I will miss you forever Jewel!
